John Mayer, the musician, raconteur, literature critic and celebrated British Naval Historian, has branded himself “the dumbest person in 2000 years” in a recent Twitter post.
Mayer tweeted “I use Twitter, Facebook & myspace & say stupid things & use buzzwords & say I hate them – becoz I am really teh dumbest person in 2000 years”
He was instantly followed up with a barrage of support from his followers.

“yr music suxs, but you tweets suxs more. please stop both.” wrote Al Gore.
He went on to outline all the rambling disjointed incoherent thoughts, popular net lingo terms and fadish buzzwords that he had used in the 2000 years as proof of his statement.
“No doubt about it, I am the most annoying, stupid person with a twitter and facebook account ever. The world gets visibly dumber whenever i post a message” he said.
Mayer announced that he was closing his Facebook and Twitter accounts immediately and would concentrate on his music until a new social networking phenomenon was developed that could handle his patented brand of ‘socially aware stupidity’.
